At Mike Arteaga's Health and Fitness Center, we are committed to offering yoga for everyone - novice and expert alike.We offer two types of yoga - Gentle and Mixed.Gentle Yoga focuses on working slowly through fundamental postures and their optimal alignment. Props are introduced. Guidance is given to developing breath and body awareness, balance, and strength, in conjunction with stretching and deep relaxation to release stress, quiet the mind, and regenerate the body. Ideal for new, returning, and mature students. More experienced students will benefit from perfecting their foundational postures.Mixed Yoga classes build on foundational basics with an emphasis on breath integration, holding postures, and dynamic vinyasa (flowing movement) to increase stamina, strength, and flexibility. Pranayama (breathing techniques) and other elements are introduced to incorporate deeper aspects of Sadhana (practice). Open to all levels.
